The three congregations who live at 425 S Central Park, Chicago Mennonite Community Church, Wellington Ave. UCC, and First Church, joined together to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King on January 19, 2025. It was a most moving and inspirational service, with participation and leadership from all three congregations.
Mrs. Annie Lorene Crump was born into eternity February 5, 2024. Her family and the church community celebrated her life on Saturday, February 17.

On November 24, 2024 First Church held a Memorial Service for Mrs. Corean Bevly who had died this fall (at age 92). In addition to church members, Congressman Danny Davis offered words of profound tribute.
We Gathered Thursday evening, November 21, for a pre-Thanksgiving party. Good food, family, friends, jazz, stories. A grand time was had by all.
